Just a thought...

Okay, so I must admit... I am fascinated by what goes on in between the lines! I'm not talking about obsessively reading into a conversation or trying to figure out what a person is "really" saying... I'm talking about literally what goes on in between the lines. For instance, take these verses -

Genesis 12:1 records God's call to Abram: "Leave your country, your people and your father's household." (So basically... leave your provision, pleasure, protection, and relationships) Three verses later we read, "So Abram left, as the Lord had told him" (12:4). Oh my! That is awesome. Abraham was not a lifeless figure in a wax museum... he was a real person! And to boot, Abraham had no study Bibles, no praise and worship CDs, no devotionals, no John Bevere or Billy Graham teachings... God only. But he made a decision, was obedient to the voice of God, and went for it!

With that, I find myself saying "Could you imagine the faith?" And yet... it totally makes sense! It is not like we are taking this GIANT leap of faith by trusting God to direct our future... I mean... let's be honest, we are placing our lives in the securest, most gentle, most loving Hands that exist. If we truly believed what the Bible does say... we know that we carry the answer to every struggle, we are promised blessed lives, and nothing is impossible for us! - Talk about being empowered to live to your fullest potential!
